An Act relative to the appointment to the position of police officer in the town of Bourne . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. Notwithstanding MGL Chapter 31, Section 58A or any other general or special law to the contrary, Drew Lonergan may have his name certified on the original appointment to the position of police officer in the Town of Bourne, notwithstanding having reached the age of 32 before taking any civil service examination in connection with said appointment. In all respects, Drew Lonergan shall be eligible for appointment to the position of police officer in the Town of Bourne only insofar as he qualifies and is selected for employment under chapter 31 of the General Laws, any regulations of the civil service commission and any lawful hiring practice of the Town of Bourne. SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. |
