The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act relative to group averaging for retirement.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, members’ years of service in each group they are classified, as enumerated in paragraph (g) of subdivision (2) of section 3 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, shall be averaged for the purposes of retirement, including superannuation retirement. |
